It can be used to remotely control an RS232 device directly. Alternatively, two serial over LAN adapters can be connected to each other on the same network to create a full end-to-end RS232 serial connection. The Windows-based companion software, Device Server Manager (DSM), enables the creation of virtual COM ports, allowing seamless migration of existing serial applications to the new virtual COM ports. The DSM provides a unified management experience, allowing multiple serial-to-Ethernet converters to be managed simultaneously. The converter also features a versatile web-based interface for remote management, making it compatible in mixed OS environments.Flexible Installation and Rugged ChassisThe converter is housed in a full metal enclosure for durability in harsh environments. The DB9 over IP converter includes all necessary wall and DIN rail mounting hardware.
